BVL Season 7 Officially Launched

The journey of BVL enters an exciting new chapter with the official launch of Season 7. The Curtain Raiser event, held in Guwahati, brought together well-wishers, coaches, volunteers, partners, and community leaders who have played a vital role in shaping one of the world's largest community-led volleyball leagues.

Over the past six seasons, BVL has grown beyond the boundaries of sport, creating meaningful impact across communities and positively influencing thousands of young lives. This season, more than 400 teams are set to participate, reflecting the league's continued growth and reach.

The event was graced by Ms. Vita Dani, Chief Patron of BVL and Director of Dani Sports Foundation, Lt. Gen. Rana Pratap Kalita (Retd.), and Shri Swapnil Barua, IAS (Retd.), who shared their perspectives on the transformative power of sport in strengthening communities and empowering young people. The occasion was further enriched by messages of encouragement from distinguished Olympians Gagan Narang, Abhinav Bindra, and Viren Rasquinha.

What truly defines BVL is not merely its scale, but the stories that emerge from the communities it serves—a young athlete discovering confidence, a village rallying behind its team, or a volunteer dedicating time and effort to create opportunities for the next generation.

The momentum for Season 7 is already evident, with 107 of the participating teams securing support during the launch event itself. As the season unfolds, BVL looks forward to sharing more stories of resilience, participation, and community spirit from across the region.

With growing participation and unwavering community support, BVL Season 7 promises to be its most impactful and exciting chapter yet.
